These chapters contain real-life experience and knowledge accrued living in the wilderness, fighting wildfires, studying literature, biology, animal behavior, human psychology, environmental science, and years spent rescuing and rehabilitating animals from shelters. These essays thematically embrace the importance of human/animal/natural landscape relationships, and their therapeutic and lifesaving qualities. I have many stories that highlight the importance of these relationships, and the creatures that walk the line between these realms, straddling a growing divide. I hope my words help to close this gap and remind us of the importance of human, animal, and wilderness health. The healthy state of our animals and natural landscapes are a direct reflection of the psychological health of humanity (and vice versa). These serendipitous stories are a reminder of how much we all need one another. Through inclusion of these critical relationships, we might live in a world filled with peace, love, life, and creativity. I dream of an awakened, vibrantly connected world filled with more hope, more love, and endless, wild creativity. My public efforts begin here.
